Legal information

Privacy policy

This policy describes the personal data processing carried out by CV Studio, under book five of the digital code of the Republic of Benin.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Data controller

The data controller is Hyacinthe Medjikoue ADIVE, République du Bénin.

Any question about your data may be sent to devsympa9@gmail.com.

Prior formalities

Under book five of Law No. 2017-20 of 20 April 2018 on the digital code of the Republic of Benin, as amended by Law No. 2020-35 of 6 January 2021, and in particular articles 405 and 407, the data controller completes the prior formalities with the Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP, apdp.bj) before the processing is carried out.

The receipt issued by the APDP can be provided on request.

Legal basis and consent

Processing is based on performance of the service you request, on compliance with legal obligations and, for processing that requires it, on your consent. Consent means a free, specific, informed and unambiguous expression of will.

When you register, you accept the terms of service and this policy; that acceptance is recorded with its date. You may withdraw consent at any time, which may lead to the account being closed.

Data collected

We process the data needed to run the service:

  • Identity and account: email address, name, role, status, registration, last sign-in and address-confirmation dates.
  • Work content: resume (contact details, experience, education, skills, languages, links), applications, posting analyses, cover letters and scholarship dossiers.
  • Uploaded files: resume photo and, where applicable, the source file of an imported resume. These files are stored privately and served only to their owner.
  • Technical data: password fingerprint (never the plain password), hashed session tokens, IP address used to prevent abuse and sign-in timestamps.
  • Preferences: language, theme and search filters, kept in your browser.

Purposes

Data is used to provide the tool, authenticate and secure your account, generate and store your documents, send you service emails (address confirmation, reset, chosen notifications) and prevent abuse.

No data is sold or shared for advertising purposes.

Retention periods

  • Account and content: kept for as long as the account exists.
  • Address-confirmation and password-reset tokens: time-limited (24 hours for confirmation) and single-use.
  • Sessions: expire after thirty days or on sign-out.
  • After account deletion: associated data is erased, subject to applicable legal retention periods.

Recipients and processors

Data is accessible only to the publisher and to the providers strictly necessary for the service, acting on the publisher's behalf:

  • Site hosting and database.
  • Private object storage for the resume photo and imported files.
  • Email provider for service emails.
  • Artificial intelligence engines, to generate the texts you request, limited to the elements sent for that purpose.

Transfers outside Benin

Some providers may be located, or host their servers, outside Benin. Under the digital code, such transfers are made only to recipients offering adequate guarantees as to confidentiality, use and data protection.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port the data concerning you, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time, under articles 437 and 443 of the digital code.

To exercise these rights, write to devsympa9@gmail.com. A reply is sent within the periods set by law.

If you believe your data is not processed in accordance with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP, apdp.bj).

Security

Passwords are stored as fingerprints; session and confirmation tokens are hashed — the database never keeps their plain value. Uploaded files are private: their address requires a valid session and ownership of the document.

Traffic with the site is encrypted in transit. No method is infallible, so you are advised to use a unique, strong password.

Minors

The service is not intended for people who lack the legal capacity to consent on their own. Where the law requires it, a minor's registration requires the agreement of their legal representative.
