Applying abroad

Apply elsewhere without starting from a blank page

One country, one language, different conventions. The tool keeps a resume in each language, writes the texts in the language of the posting and tracks deadlines — all in one place.

  • One resume per language
  • Texts in the posting's language
  • Deadlines tracked

Applying abroad

What to know

An international application rarely fails on competence: it fails on language, format or a missed deadline. Here is what changes and what does not.

The language of the posting, not yours

The source text decides the language of the output — not the country, not your nationality.

  • French posting → letter and dossier in French; English posting → in English.
  • A French and an English resume live side by side on the same account, each with its own template.
  • Each language has its own history: nothing is overwritten when you switch version.
  • Literal-translation filler is filtered out: every paragraph carries a fact, a proper noun and varied sentence lengths.

What differs from one country to another

No universal rule — but a few stable reference points.

  • Photo: often omitted where it is protected. The Minimal template never shows it.
  • Length: one page remains the norm for junior and mid-level profiles.
  • Contact: city and country are enough, no need for a full street address.
  • Dates: use one format everywhere, consistent across both resumes.
  • Compare two templates in a click before sending the expected version.

Finding offers and scholarships

Two separate searches in the same tool, with the same behaviour.

  • The 10 job sources are queried in parallel, filtered by location and keyword.
  • Four scholarship blogs are read directly: about 370 listings collected during testing, 40 shortlisted, each with its deadline.
  • Filters by field and study level for calls for applications.
  • AI ranking states how relevant each listing is to your profile.

The full dossier when it is a scholarship

The part that takes longest — and that gets postponed most often.

  • Six texts produced together: cover letter, study plan, professional project, research project, statement of intent and a letter-of-recommendation template.
  • The list of supporting documents arrives with the dossier.
  • The resume tailored to the programme follows immediately, in the call's language.
  • You can also paste a call that is not in the list: the tool reads the document and produces the dossier.

Before sending from abroad

  • Resume and letter in the language of the posting, no exception.
  • Deadline checked first, time zone included.
  • A template without a photo where the country or field expects it.
  • Readable international contact details: country code, a stable email address.
  • Identical facts in both languages: same dates, same titles, same outcomes.

FAQ

International application questions

The hesitations people have most before applying elsewhere.

Should I write my resume in the country's language?

Yes: in the language of the posting. An account keeps a French and an English resume, each with its own content and template — you stay in control of every sentence.

Do I need a photo?

It depends on the country and the field, and it is never a general requirement. The Minimal template never shows a photo: it is the neutral choice when you apply in several places.

How do I avoid a word-for-word translation?

You do not translate: you fill in two separate resumes, in both languages. Generated texts start from the source text, not from a translation of your resume.

The posting is in English but I am applying from France: which language?

English. The language of the posting governs, for the letter and for the dossier alike.

How do I track applications in several countries?

From history: every application keeps its score, engine and cost there, and scholarship dossiers keep their deadline.

How much does a complete scholarship dossier cost?

About 43 credits, shown before and after generation. Editing, templates and PDF export consume nothing: the details are on the Pricing page.

Prepare your next international application

Fill in both resumes once, then paste the posting: the letter follows in the right language.
